Hello, I am Lumi (Lu Wei).
I am currently pursuing my master degree of Technology Innovation at Global Innovation Exchange, University of Washington. Now I am working on the Industry Led Project sponsored by Microsoft AI for Good team. We aim at building a low-cost and high-quality fundus camera with a companion web-app that enables speedy diabetic retinopathy (DR) detection in developing countries. I am a dynamic, versatile, and detailed-oriented designer with a broad design set, including UX/UI design and product design. I like to create enjoyable experiences and create user-centered design to let people experience the charm of design! Through the unity of design language and style, users can unconsciously learn the brand’s personality. By designing user-friendly interactions and flows, users will feel that each step completed is a natural transition from the previous step. It is well-organized and does not require users to explore by themselves, instead, they can experience the entire process smoothly.
I also like to use product thinking during my design process. Instead of focusing on the design of simple elements and interactions, the product thinking allows me to think about how to acquire and motivate users from a higher-level perspective, in order to enhance the user engagement. The product thinking also helps me better understand the product strategy design in Project MuMu.
